Teaching Portfolio
Hello! Thank you for your interest in my teaching portfolio. On this site you will find evidence of my teaching experience, evaluations from students, my teaching philosophy, and information about my research.
My passion for teaching has led me to seek out a position as an instructor at the college level. I completed my M.A. in Comparative Literature degree in the Summer of 2013, and the interdisciplinary nature of my program has made me particularly well-suited to teach courses in the areas of Comparative Literature, Translation, Media Studies, Communication, and English, including composition, creative writing, and critical reading.
My experiences as a teacher have been overwhelmingly positive; my students’ progress has been evident and I have received excellent reviews from both students and colleagues on my teaching ability. Beyond that, I have truly enjoyed every moment of my teaching experience. I am at my happiest when I am with my students, whether in the classroom or in one-on-one tutoring, and this joy is reflected in my teaching style and shared with my students.
I would make an excellent addition to any faculty, as my record of contribution to the scholarly community can attest. I have been very involved in co-curricular, extracurricular and interdisciplinary activities, including publications, conference presentations, conference organization, and volunteer work. I have actively pursued curriculum improvement, professional development, and high standards for education.
I would be delighted and honored to have the opportunity to speak with you further about my experience, qualifications, and passion for teaching. My contact information can be found in the menu at the right. Please feel free to contact me at any time!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Liz Medendorp
